MASTER YOUR ANGER

Proverbs 16:32
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Uncontrolled anger can make you lose a city you once took.

Proverbs 19:19
A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment:
for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.

<> Don't fly into a rage unless you are prepared for a rough landing.
<> Anger falls one letter short of danger.
<> If you lose your head, how can you expect to use it?
<> If you are patient in a moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.
<> The best cure for anger is delay.

Controlled anger will save you much mistakes that can cause untold pain.

Proverbs 19:11
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger;
and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

Uncontrolled anger is a fool's possession.

Ecclesiastes 7:9
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 (The Message Bible).
Don't be quick to fly off the handle. Anger boomerangs. You can spot a fool by the lumps on his head.

STORY:
There was a little boy with bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, to hammer a nail in the back fence. The first day the boy drove 37 nails into the fence. Then it gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally, the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and his father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails where gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes on the fence."

The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. It won't matter how many times you say am sorry, the wound is still there.
A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

<> You can't shake hands with a clenched fist.
<> We must not only say the right things in the right place, but also to not say the wrong thing in tempting moments
